It’s not the best or the worst but it’s a decent panama hat in this price range. Dimensionally this hat is nearly perfect. It has the best combination of brim size, peak height pinch shape. Etc. it just looks good.
It has the correct Ecuador stamp inside the crown. It’s worth noting that all true Panama hats are made in Ecuador. Apparently these hats are made in Ecuador, but finished in Mexico. That’s OK too. The weave and stitching is decent, but not the highest quality.
All in all, it’s a nice quality panama hat that looks sharp.

I. Love. This. Hat. As someone who's dealt with skin cancer, I knew I needed a hat for my trip to Spain. This hat was perfect. You can roll it up to put in your luggage then reshape it when you pull it out. I got more compliments on this hat than anything I've worn recently. It's practical. Had an adjustable inner band. And it's stylish. Even in strong winds, it stayed on my head. Highly recommend this hat.

I was searching for a hat that would help complete and outfit, without breaking the bank. I have a larger head and a lot of hats out there just weren't the right size, whether they were too big or too small! This hat was the perfect size and also had an adjustments that could be made inside! The price was unbearable as well, since similar hats were almost twice the price.The quality is fantastic as well. I have flattened the hat per instructions for easy transport, and even after hours of being stowed away, it easily came back to shape! I love that they include some extra little conchos to add to the design. Top quality and great price to boot!

Description
Original Item: There is no more well known name when it comes to hats in the "Pioneering American West" than the John B. Stetson Company. Their “Boss of the Plains” Western hat would become the cornerstone of Stetson's hat business and is still in production today. Stetson eventually became the world's largest hat maker, producing more than 3,300,000 hats a year in a factory spread over 9 acres (36,000 m2) in Philadelphia.
This is a private purchase WW2 M1911 Officer's Campaign Hat by the Stetson Company. The sweatband is embossed on the left side with the JOHN B STETSON Co. "Shield" trademark logo, and the right side is marked by retailer F. SCHWARTE Jr. / LAWTON , OKLA.. It is offered in very good condition with signs of moderate use and some degradation from age.
It comes with officer's "Field Clerk" hat cord with acorns. It also still has the original leather chin strap, though unfortunately it has broken off where it passes through the brim due to verdigris and age. The sweatband is in good condition, though the stitching on the front of the hat has pulled out, so it is sunken in somewhat.
A great service used Stetson Campaign hat from the Great War, ready to display!
The Hat, Service, M1911 (Campaign Hat) was made of OD wool felt with a wide brim and "Montana peak" crown. There were ventilation holes in the crown with grommets, a silk hatband, and a silk and brass braid cord closed by a knot and terminated with a tassel. Inside was a leather sweatband and an attached chin strap. The Army model was dark brown OD in color.
The hat cords were worn around the base of the crown indicated the branch for enlisted men and rank for officers. The system was similar to the piping colors for the Garrison Cap, copied from the Campaign Hat. Unit and rank insignia were sometimes worn on the front of the hat when authorized.
How do I properly handle my hat?
The proper way to handle your hat is ALWAYS by the brim. There is no proper side of the brim to grab from, you pick. The hat will remain intact and essentially last longer when handled properly by the brim.
How do I store my hat?
The longevity of your hat lies in how you store it. The BEST way to store your hat is in a hat box with your hat nested upside down. If you don't have a hat box, the next best thing is to store your hat on a flat surface, upside down, and away from windows and humidity.
